About this policy

An Energetic Journey (Anita Cassidy, Morayfield, Queensland) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website and my practice, how I use it, and how you can see or correct it. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What I collect

• When you send an enquiry: your name, email address and phone number (if you give it), what brings you here, the days that suit you, and anything else you choose to tell me.
• When you book and have sessions: your contact details and your booking history (which sessions you’ve had and when). I don’t keep notes about what happens in your sessions.
• If you call, text, email or message me on social media: the details you share.
• When you visit this website: general information about your visit, such as which pages you viewed. See “Cookies and website analytics” below.

Some of what you tell me, such as how you’re feeling or why you’re looking for a session, may be health information. I only collect it with your consent, and I only use it to reply to you and prepare for your sessions.

Why I collect it

• To reply to your enquiry and arrange your sessions.
• To provide your sessions and follow up with you.
• To send occasional news and gentle reminders. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
• To run and improve this website.

I won’t use your information for anything else without asking you first, unless the law requires it.

Who I share it with

I don’t sell or rent your personal information. I only share it with the services that help me run my practice and this website:

• My website host, Ey3, with servers in Australia. The website runs on WordPress, and enquiry form entries are stored on the website (Gravity Forms).
• Microsoft 365, which provides my email.
• Mailchimp, for the newsletter, only if you subscribe.
• Google Analytics and Cloudflare, which tell me how the website is used and help keep it fast and secure.

I may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Information stored overseas

This website is hosted in Australia. Some of the services above may store or process information overseas, including in the United States. Mailchimp stores newsletter subscriber details in the United States, Google processes Google Analytics data on its servers, Cloudflare runs a worldwide network, and Microsoft may store email data outside Australia.

Cookies and website analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, which uses cookies to measure how many people visit and which pages they look at. It doesn’t tell me who you are. I also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without using cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Keeping your information safe

I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. That includes keeping this website and its software up to date and secure, and limiting who can access your information.

How long I keep it

I keep your contact details and booking history for 7 years after your last session (or your last contact with me, if you didn’t book), then securely delete them. If you subscribe to the newsletter, I keep your details until you unsubscribe.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, or ask me to correct it, at any time. Email [email protected] or call 0401 967 280.

Questions or complaints

If you have a question or concern about how I’ve handled your information, please contact me first and I’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
